big sur & lord huron
A few weeks ago I was asked to help shoot for This Is What We Imagine, a small video production group, filming a project called Two Stories, which involves getting together with emerging bands and shooting a live performance and an interesting story in an awesome location. I also helped with the first installment, which was shot on my first day in LA in Griffith Park (and included a Kevin Bacon sighting).
This time around it involved a roadtrip up the coast (around 5 hours up the coast actually), to Big Sur, shooting Lord Huron, who were in great spirits despite the pouring rain. And despite the fact that it was cold and wet and I was completely delirious from not only having an editorial shoot the day before but also running a constant fever and nursing a throat infection, the experience was still pretty great.
Aside from acting as 3rd camera, I mostly shot color slide film (the excursion was also acting as a means for me to shoot my homework). I’m not sure when the final product will be published, but keep your eyes peeled for it.
